Aluminium tig welder — Swain County

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Swain County, North Carolina. Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 2+ years on the tools preferred.
