Now hiring: we are hiring a refrigeration service engineer in Jersey County, Illinois. You will be based at a supermarket cold-chain site. Your main tasks: • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight Requirements: • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
