Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in De Baca County, New Mexico. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges.
