Aluminium tig welder — Johnson County

Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Johnson County, Tennessee. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
