Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Cumberland County, Illinois. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
