Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will be based on a quarry floor. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes You will operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; refuel the machine and record running hours; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
