Now hiring: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Sir Powys, Wales. You will work in a refurbishment property. You will patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; check walls for plumb and level as you go; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
