Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
