Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Vernon County, Wisconsin. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Your main tasks: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder 5+ years on the tools preferred.
