Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Allegany County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
