Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Manchester, England. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Willing to work shifts and overtime Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. £1,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
