We are recruiting: precision welder (South Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Pickens County, South Carolina. The role involves strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
