Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Floyd County, Iowa. The job is on a busy housing site. On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
