Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Gratiot County, Michigan. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Rotating shifts.
