Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Crawford County, Indiana. Day to day you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Six days a week, one day off.
