Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Hays County, Texas. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
