Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Cherokee County, Alabama. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 2+ years on the tools preferred.
