Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Glasgow City, Scotland. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Part-time with flexible hours.
