Great opportunity: fire and safety officer (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Bureau County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations You will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors.
