Vacancy available: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
