Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Greene County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
