Steel fixer wanted in Glasgow City

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Glasgow City, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day-to-day duties: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers 4+ years on the tools preferred.
