Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Somerset County, Maine. You will be based in a gas distribution network. You should have: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On the job you will handle: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Full-time, day shift.
