Stainless steel welder — Clinch County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Clinch County, Georgia. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time, day shift. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
