You should have: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes Day to day you will shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
