Reinforcement steel fixer — Rock County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Rock County, Nebraska. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Day-to-day duties: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors 4+ years on the tools preferred.
