Pipe TIG welder — Harlan County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Harlan County, Kentucky. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination You will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
