Sheet metal press operator — Hancock County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Hancock County, Iowa. The job is in a forging and pressing unit. Your main tasks: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area Ideal candidate: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg 6+ years on the tools preferred.
