Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Sheridan County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 2+ years on the tools preferred. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
