We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Gilmer County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Six days a week, one day off.
