Gang bricklayer — Kano Municipal

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Kano Municipal, Kano State. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On a typical shift you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays.
