Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lift erector in City of Galax, Virginia. You will be based in a residential tower block. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance You will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; run load and overload tests with test weights; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Share your details and we will call you back.
