Finish carpenter • Gilliam County, Oregon

Great opportunity: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Gilliam County, Oregon. You will be based on a commercial fit-out site. The role involves: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers 5+ years on the tools preferred.
