Sample machinist — Moore County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Moore County, Tennessee. You will be based at a busy garment factory. Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
