Ideal candidate: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Day to day you will clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
