Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The job is at a container port. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites The role involves: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,950 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
