Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Coosa County, Alabama. You will be based on a lift modernisation project. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Day to day you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables.
