Immediate opening: gas meter installer (North Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Alleghany County, North Carolina. The job is at a boiler and appliance service centre. On a typical shift you will purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation. What we are looking for: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
