Immediate opening: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Luton, England. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. You will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Rotating shifts.
