Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Umuahia South, Abia State. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run We offer ₦185,000 per month plus benefits.
