Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Gordon County, Georgia. Your main tasks: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
