Gas installation technician • Houghton County, Michigan

Join our team: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Houghton County, Michigan. You will work in customers' homes and kitchens. Day to day you will carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation. Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
