Urgent requirement: argon arc welder (Oregon)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Columbia County, Oregon. The job is on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 1+ years on the tools preferred.
