Machine operator (earthworks) • Brookings County, South Dakota

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Brookings County, South Dakota. Day-to-day duties: • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter You should have: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience.
