Glass and glazing technician — Boone County

Join our team: we are hiring a glass and glazing technician in Boone County, Illinois. The job is in a mirror and glass showroom. Your main tasks: • Fit panes into timber, aluminium and uPVC frames • Install toughened and laminated safety glass • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass • Secure glass with glazing beads, clips and points • Work safely at height on scaffolds and ladders • Cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers You should have: • Comfortable working at height with scaffolding and ladders • Aware of safe glass handling and PPE such as cut-resistant gloves • Physically fit, able to stand and lift throughout the shift Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
