Core maker wanted in Somerset County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Somerset County, New Jersey. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
