Fabricator-welder — New York County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in New York County, New York. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 3+ years on the tools preferred.
