Gas metal arc welder — Inverclyde

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Inverclyde, Scotland. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead 3+ years on the tools preferred.
