Argon arc welder • Camden County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Camden County, North Carolina. Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
