Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Marquette County, Michigan. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness.
